KALA NIKETAN

The Kala Niketan was set up to develop the artistic aptitude of the children who had an avid interest in music and the classical dance forms.

1. The Music Section :
1. Vocal Music:
   Classical vocal music and light music are being presently taught in the music section.
2. Instrumental music:
   Tabla vadan and Harmonium are taught at this centre.
2. The Dance section :

At present, the classical dance form, Bharat Natyam is taught at the centre. Garba and folk dances also have a place in their curriculum. All classes are held outside school hours and pupils with some aptitude and interest enroll in these classes. About 200 students are admitted each year.
