AWARDS

In the year 1961, Shri Jhinabhai Desai was given the National Award by the Government of India in public recognition of his valuable services as a teacher of outstanding merit.

To commemorate that event, Smt. Induben donated a sum of Rs. 12,000 to the Vidyavihar from which is instituted the 'Vidyavihar Snehrashmi Paritoshik' to be awarded to an employee of outstanding merit every year in the Vidyavihar or Vinayvihar.

At present, this award consists of a cash award of Rs. 2,000 and a silver medal. Twenty-five persons have so far been awarded the Snehrashmi Award.

Every employee of Vidyavihar is honored by the Trust with a shawl when he/she retires from the institution at a special function arranged for the same.

Shri Saubhagyachand Shah, Principal, Sheth C. N. Vidyalay received the National Award from the Government of India in 1986, for his valuable services to the community as a teacher of outstanding merit.

Sheth C. N. Computer Centre was awarded with “3rd computer literacy Excellence Awards for School – 2004” by His Excellency Dr. Abdulkalam on 7th December 2005 at New Delhi. The Award was received by Shri Bimal K. Raval - Director of the Computer Centre.

From the last three years they give Computer Literacy Excellence Award for schools at National as well as State level.

• The award is consisting of a trophy along with a cash prize of Rs. 1.5 lakhs. Hon’ble President of India Dr. A. P. J. Abdul Kalam gives this award on 7th Dec. 2005 at Vigyan Bhavan, New Delhi
